Balrothery Heritage Centre
I wrote to Fingal County Council in relation to the need for improved access to and improved heating in the Heritage Centre. I also asked my colleague Cllr Ken Farrell to put the items on the council agenda. See link below for replies:

St Patricks Day- Gormanston & District Anglers
Starting at 9 am on St Patricks Day. The opening competition on the lake.. Only members allowed. Fly and spin only Free Competition for all Junior Anglers There is a special Senior angler competition for heaviest fish. Prizes for first and second thanks to Barrable Motors, our new sponsor for 2010. Euro 10.00 per Senior to compete. Last fish weigh at 16.00hrs.

Gormanston & District Anglers AGM
The Gormanston & District Anglers AGM will be held in the Heritage Centre on Tuesday the 12th of January. All members are invited. We would ask all members to check the club website and to review the new constitution for the club which will be voted on at the AGM.

Balrothery Heritage Singers Christmas shows
The Heritage Singers will hold their annual Christmas Concert in the Heritage Centre, Balrothery Village on Sunday 20th and Monday the 21st of December at 8pm Admission for adults is 7.00 euro For Children/OAPs/Students 3.00 euro As always there will be light refreshments/wine served after each performance. Delvin river closed until February 2010
The River Delvin is closed for angling from 20th of September 2009 and will reopen for club members and day ticket holders in February 2010. It is illegal to fish the river in the closed season. Any one caught fishing will be prosecuted

The Carpenter cup results
A great day for juniors was had on 20th of September. We had 17 anglers fishing and 16 fish caught. Thanks to Mick Carpenter again for sponsoring the competition with a great prize. 1st place went to Martin Bailey with a bag weight of 7.14lb his prize was €50.00, Club cap and the Carpenter Cup. 2nd place went to Luke Kiernan with a bag weight of 5lb his prize was a wooden scoop net and a club cap. Heaviest fish went to Aoibhe Garrett with a beauty weighing 3.10lb she received a club cap.
